  • How many levels are there in Bell Vietnam?
  • Our levels range from Pre-Intermediate to Proficiency so there are six levels. These are Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Pre-Advanced, Advanced and Proficiency. We currently do not have classes at Beginner or Elementary level.
     
  • How many hours will I study a week?
  • The number of hours you study depends on what type of schedule you have chosen. Lessons can be held two, three, four or five times a week, e.g. twice a week might be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and five times a week might be in the afternoon, Monday to Friday.
  • How do I pass a level?
  • There are a number of factors that contribute to successfully passing and moving to the next level. These are attendance, participation, homework, the final test, writing and speaking.
     
  • How many students are there in a class?
  • Bell is different from other schools as our class size is not fixed but the maximum class size is 15. This ensures that even our largest classes enable the students to get enough speaking practice and attention from the trainer.
  • Is it possible to study in a small group?
  • Yes. Bell Vietnam offers Premier Classes which are limited to between four and six students.
     
  • Can I join a class with my friend?
  • You can join a class with your friend only if you both have the same English language level.
  • Can I start a class without taking a placement test?
  • No. It's necessary to know your language level at the beginning in order to find the most suitable class for you. The only exception that can be made is if you have recently taken an internationally recognised exam, such as IELTS or the Cambridge suite.
     
  • Is it possible to get a discount on course ?
  • Bell Vietnam sometimes offers promotions on course , which anyone can benefit from. However, if you are a student at our school and you take a number of modules, you will be entitled to a discount on the third and later modules. See the Course Prices section for more details.
  • When do I have to pay the course ?
  • All course are paid in advance of the first lesson.

     

     
  • If I start a course and think I'm in the wrong level, can I move class?
  • This is very unlikely but if it happens, moving to another class can only be done on the recommendation of your trainer.
  • Where does my trainer come from?
  • Trainers at Bell Vietnam come from a variety of countries where English is the first language. Your trainer might be from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia or America.
     
  • What international exams can I get?
  • All of the main English For.... courses can be used as a foundation for internationally recognised exams such as, IELTS, PET, FCE, CAE and the BEC exam series.
  • If I get busy after I start a course can I transfer to another class?
  • If the circumstances are exceptional it may be possible to defer tuition and return to training when there is a more suitable class available. Our Living English programme is designed so you can transfer to another course any time you want. This is perfect if the specialist course you want to do is not scheduled to start immediately.
     
  • I just want to practise speaking and don't want to study grammar or writing. Do I still have to do my homework?
  • All homework assigned by your trainer should be completed. Successfully completing homework is one of the requirements for passing the course and it is for your benefit.

     

  • Why should I study at Bell Vietnam?
  • Bell Vietnam Training Centre is owned and managed by professional English trainers, whose first concern is high quality English language training for you.
     
  • Can my friend sit in on my class to see if he/she likes it?
  • Friends and relatives are not allowed to visit lessons. The other students in the class have paid for their course and it's not fair to include extra participants who are not members of the class.
  • What material will I use during my course?
  • The course materials you use depend on the type of course you have enrolled in. The English for Life courses use a title called Total English as its core text; The English for Professionals use a title called Intelligent Business and the English for Study courses use the Focus on IELTS series.
    Of course, your trainer will also provide additional material that he/she has carefully chosen to supplement your lessons with. The short IELTS Exam Preparation skills classes and the Confident Communication Courses do not use core text books.
    Our Living English programme does not use a course book as the course is designed to meet the individual needs of the students.
     
  • How long will it take to finish a level?
  • To complete a level at Bell Vietnam takes 135 hours of classroom training, e.g. to move from the beginning of Intermediate to the beginning of Upper-Intermediate. This time is divided into three modules of 45 hours each.
    Some of our courses run for different lengths of time. Our Living English programme is 36 hours long and you can enter the course at any time. Once you have finished the 36 hours you can re-enroll to continue your course or discuss with your teacher about moving up a level.

     

     

     

  • Can I take a placement test now?
  • The placement test schedule is Monday - Friday at 9.00am, 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
