Course Objectives:
This course will introduce students to key financial language and functions. Trainees will gain a greater awareness of language used the financial sphere and improved ability at discussing and presenting financial information in both spoken and written contexts.

Course Level:

Intermediate to Advanced. Our courses are for people who have a certain competence in Financial English but need to achieve a higher level.

Course Content
This course has a degree of flexibility to take into account the specific needs of the students i.e. if all the trainees work in banking more emphasis can be put on work specific language areas. However, the following key areas should be covered.
  • Talking figures: using numbers effectively
  • Basics of Accounting: terminology and practice
  • Financial Transactions
  • Trade and Commerce.
  • Company Finances
  • Economic Issues
  • Banking systems
  • Financial Reporting
