Academic English |
This test is ideal if you need to study or work where English is the language of communication. There are two versions of the test: The Academic Module and The General Training Module. Both modules have four parts, listening (30 minutes), reading (1 hour), writing (1 hour) and speaking (11 – 14 minutes). There are a number of courses that can be taken to prepare for IELTS at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Please contact us for further information. IELTS exam results are only valid for two years.

General English |
An elementary level exam, testing your ability to deal with basic written and spoken communications. KET has three papers: Reading and Writing (1 hour 10 minutes), Listening (approx. 30 minutes) and Speaking (8 -10 minutes). Bell Vietnam Training Centre does not currently run elementary level classes. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL KET certificates are valid for life. |
An intermediate level exam, testing your ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications. PET has three papers: Reading and Writing (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (approx. 35 minutes) and Speaking (10 – 12 minutes). You may enter a PET preparation course after finishing a pre-intermediate or during an intermediate English for Life course at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL PET certificates are valid for life. |
An upper-intermediate level examination – ideal if you can deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. FCE has five papers: Reading (1 hour 15 minutes), Writing (1 hour 30 minutes), Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes), Listening (approx. 40 minutes) and Speaking (14 minutes). You may enter an FCE preparation course after an upper-intermediate English for Life course at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL FCE certificates are valid for life. |
An advanced exam – if you can communicate with confidence in English for work or study purposes, this is a good exam for you. CAE has five papers: Reading (1 hour 15 minutes), Writing (2 hours), Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (approx. 45 minutes) and Speaking (15 minutes). You may enter a CAE preparation course after successfully passing the FCE exam or completing a general English advanced course at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL CAE certificates are valid for life. |
A very advanced level exam – perfect if you have achieved a high level of language skills and are able to function effectively in almost any English-speaking context. CPE has five papers: Reading (1 hour 30 minutes), Writing (2 hours), Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (approx. 40 minutes) and Speaking (19 minutes). You may only enter a CPE preparation course after successfully passing the CAE exam. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL CPE certificates are valid for life.

Business English |
The BEC exams are internationally recognised business qualifications that can help you show that you have learned English to an appropriate standard and that you can use it in a professional context. There are three BEC exams – BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL BEC certificates are valid for life.

BEC Preliminary has three test papers – Reading and Writing (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (approx. 40 minutes) and Speaking (approx. 12 minutes per pair of candidates). You may enter a BEC Preliminary preparation course after finishing a pre-intermediate or during an intermediate English for Professionals course at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL BEC certificates are valid for life.

Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL BEC certificates are valid for life.

You may enter a BEC Higher preparation course after successfully passing the BEC Vantage exam or completing an advanced business English course at Bell Vietnam Training Centre. Once awarded, Cambridge ESOL BEC certificates are valid for life.

The Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) is a language assessment service specifically for the use of companies and organisations. The service is designed to test the language of employees who need to use a foreign language in their work, and for students and employees on language courses or on professional/business courses where foreign language ability is an important element of the course. There is a range of BULATS tests to meet different needs. They are The Computer Test, The Standard Test, The Speaking Test and The Writing Test. BULATS exam results are only valid for two years.
